New Wire Techniques

I recently found myself with some extra time to try a wire tutorial that I had purchased but never used. It is taught and designed by Iza Malczyk and was both fun and challenging. You can see the tutorial piece  here:

What that tutorial did for me, besides teaching me something new, was open up a huge realm of possibilities. This week I found myself with an unheard-of amount of spare time, so I decided to take the newly acquired wire techniques and make my own designs. The fun and challenging part is that they are, for the most part, done in the moment. They are formed in a way that best showcases the stone's shape and cut and, for now, are one-of-a-kind. Even a duplicate gemstone center is likely to have variations in another pendant.

Below are preview photos for the rainbow moonstone, green hydro quartz, and sapphire necklaces. They will be part of my coming Yule/Winter collection! Details to come!

Giveaway Winners

I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate my Elements & Artifacts anniversary in September! I had to reorder the free Spook-O-Ween note cards that went out in your orders not once, but twice! I am so grateful for all of your love and support.

I'll cut to the chase and announce the two giveaway winners. Randomizer.org selected the winning numbers for me and I matched those with the orders that came in, the first order of September being number one and so on.

1. The exclusive 50% OFF coupon code goes to wemustntdwell Jenny C. and is good on any one order (of any size) before 12/31/12. I will contact you with your coupon code!
2. The exclusive pair of wire wrapped earrings goes to beeviva Viva G. and I will contact you to get your preferences on gemstones, colors, and metal type!

Congratulations, ladies!

One last thing today: OCTOBER SALE! I have set more than 30 spooky Halloween earrings and pendants in the shop to just $10 or $12 for a limited time only. First come, first served. Enjoy!
